Company BackgroundDiamond Vogel Paints has been producing quality finishes for a diverse industrial marketplace since 1926. Andrew Vogel, founder of the company, was a son and grandson of master painters and paint makers in the Netherlands. Looking for opportunity, Andrew immigrated to America in 1913 to try his hand at farming. When successive years of drought prevailed, Andrew turned to his heritage in 1926 and started making paint in a one-stall garage in Orange City, Iowa.
Many years and traditions have passed since Diamond Vogel Paints' start in 1926, but the foundation of quality paint manufacturing spanning five family generations set the cornerstone for the company's current operating philosophy. Together, 6 coatings manufacturing plants, 13 warehouses, company-owned transportation and a highly trained sales and service staff transfer that value every day to the OEM customer.
